State govt orders major police reshuffle, transfers several IPS & MPS officers

The Meghalaya government on Tuesday ordered a major reshuffle in the Police department involving several IPS and MPS officers across the state. According to a notification issued by the Home (Police) Department, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Western Range), Jerry Fiscer K. Marak has been transferred and posted to the Eastern Range, Shillong. He will replace Vivekanand Singh who has been transferred to the Western Range.

In another order, Commandant of 5th MLP Battalion, Samanda, Siddharth Kumar Ambedkar has been transferred and posted as Commandant of 6th MLP Battalion, Umran, replacing Ashish. Superintendent of Police, South Garo Hills District, Baghmara, Shailendra Bamaniya has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CID, Shillong, replacing Ringrang T.G. Momin. The government also transferred North Garo Hills SP Pawar Swapnil Vasantrao as East Garo Hills SP, replacing Stephen A. Rynjah.
