It was highlighted that HOPES is a flagship programme conceptualised and initiated by Hockey Ri-Bhoi with a long-term vision for Ri-Bhoi District. Its primary objective is to promote hockey from grassroots to the highest level and to ensure that hockey brings pride to Ri-Bhoi and its people.
HOPES is not merely about sports; it is about creating hope, discipline, unity and opportunity among youth. It seeks to identify young talent at an early age, nurture them with proper coaching and guidance, and create a clear pathway to represent the District, State and Nation.
It was also highlighted that all interested students and youth may contact and register with the Association to be part of a strong Ri-Bhoi Hockey Team.
