The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) will declare the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2026 on May 4 on Monday at 11:00 am. The results, covering Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational streams, will be made available online. Students can download the complete result booklets from the official MBOSE website. The first fully digital Census of the country will kick off across the country, including Meghalaya, with self-enumeration by citizens from 1-15 May 2026. Making the announcement in a press conference on Thursday, Director of Census Operations Meghalaya, Biswajit Pegu, said, “Census 2027 will be a landmark exercise, being the 16th Census overall and the 8th since Independence.” This is for the first time that the entire Census process – from enumeration to data analysis – will be conducted digitally using mobile applications and the Census Management and Monitoring System (CMMS) portal. State-run power major NTPC on Thursday said it will set up educational laboratories in 27 government schools in Meghalaya's Ri-Bhoi district. NTPC Ltd entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Ri-Bhoi District Administration for setting up STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) laboratories under its CSR initiative in the northeast, the company said in a statement. The company stated that the project will be implemented by NTPC’s Bongaigaon unit located in Kokrajhar district of Assam.
