Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched a new Rs. 200 prepaid Vi Movies & TV value pack, strengthening its strategy to drive digital consumption through bundled entertainment and connectivity services. The 28-day recharge combines access to 20 leading OTT platforms, more than 200 live TV channels, 30GB of high-speed data and unlimited 5G data, offering consumers a single subscription for entertainment and mobile connectivity.
The pack brings together premium streaming platforms including JioHotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5, Lionsgate Play, ShemarooMe, ManoramaMAX, FanCode, Playflix, Klikk, Atrangii, Chaupal, OTTplay Live, Pocket Films, YuppTV, Addatimes, KancchaLannka, TimesPlay and NextGTV, among others. Vi Movies & TV offers content in 16 languages, enabling users to access national, international and regional programming through one platform. Customers can stream across four devices with simultaneous viewing on two screens across major OTT platforms, excluding SonyLIV. The recharge is available through the Vi App and other recharge channels.
From an economic perspective, the bundled offering reflects the telecom sector’s shift toward value-added digital services as operators seek to improve customer retention and increase average revenue per user (ARPU). By integrating premium entertainment with mobile data, Vi aims to stimulate higher data consumption while reducing consumers’ dependence on multiple paid subscriptions. The strategy also aligns with India’s expanding digital economy, rising smartphone penetration and the ongoing rollout of 5G infrastructure.
In Shillong, the new prepaid bundle is expected to find traction among young consumers, students and working professionals seeking affordable access to multilingual entertainment. As internet adoption and digital content consumption continue to grow across Meghalaya, bundled OTT services could encourage greater use of high-speed mobile data while enhancing Vi’s competitive position in the region’s evolving telecom market.
