JCC Gives Meghalaya Government 30-day ultimatum to Address ILP, MRSSA, border dispute and Benami Act Issues

The Joint Coordination Committee (JCC), comprising FKJGP, HNYF, JSU, GSU and other pressure groups, met Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma at his residence on Tuesday to discuss longstanding demands, including ILP, MRSSA, the border dispute and the Benami Act, 1980.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the government’s response, the JCC gave the state government 30 days to address its demands.

HNYF leader Sadon Blah accused the government of lacking political will to implement the MRSSA and alleged that it was afraid of the Supreme Court and the Central Government.
