The Mazdoor Union in Assam has once again halted the supply of fuel to Meghalaya, raising concerns over fresh disruptions to fuel movement into the state.
Petrol pump owners said no fuel supplies were received on Friday.
However, they maintained that existing stocks were sufficient to meet demand for about a week, and there was no immediate shortage.
Meanwhile, the Meghalaya Government has reportedly begun engaging with the Assam authorities to address the issue and ensure the resumption of fuel supplies to the state.
