ELECRAMA 2025 signals growth in power equipment exports

ELECRAMA 2025 is reinforcing India’s ambition to become a global exporter of power equipment, bringing together over 120 industry leaders, policymakers, and experts. Discussions at the event focused on energy transition, AI-driven power management, and smart grids, underscoring the country’s strategic push toward modernization and sustainability.

Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Power, highlighted the government’s commitment to clean energy, grid modernization, and domestic manufacturing. “India is rapidly emerging as a major power equipment exporter, with global players showing strong interest in our manufacturing capabilities,” he stated. Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC, reaffirmed NTPC’s leadership in expanding India’s non-fossil fuel capacity to 500 GW by 2030.

The Women in Power session emphasized gender-inclusive policies and the increasing participation of women in STEM and green industries. Meanwhile, the launch of the World Utility Summit (WUS) facilitated high-level discussions on AI-driven power solutions and global energy partnerships. Shillong’s energy sector is poised for growth, with businesses eyeing new opportunities in renewable energy and smart grids. Increased collaboration between local firms and global manufacturers at ELECRAMA 2025 is expected to drive investments and technological advancements in the region.
