CBSE Likely to Open 2026 Re-Evaluation Applications Today; OnMark Portal Security Upgraded

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to begin the application process for re-evaluation and verification of marks for the 2026 board examinations today, offering students an opportunity to request a review of their answer scripts. The move comes shortly after the declaration of board examination results, with thousands of students anticipated to access the online portal for verification, obtaining photocopies of answer sheets, and re-evaluation requests.

Ahead of the expected launch, cybersecurity experts and technical teams have reportedly strengthened the OnMark portal, the digital platform used for processing examination-related services. The upgrades are aimed at ensuring smooth operation, preventing server overloads, and safeguarding student data against potential cyber threats during the high-traffic application period.

CBSE officials have advised students to regularly check the board’s official notifications for detailed schedules, eligibility criteria, application fees, and submission guidelines. The re-evaluation process generally follows a multi-step procedure, beginning with verification of marks, followed by access to answer-book copies, and finally the option to seek re-evaluation of specific questions.

The enhanced security measures are expected to improve the user experience and reduce technical disruptions that often accompany large-scale online application processes. Education experts have welcomed the move, noting that a secure and efficient digital platform is essential for maintaining transparency and trust in the examination system.

Students and parents are encouraged to carefully review the instructions before applying and to keep all necessary documents and credentials ready for submission. CBSE is expected to release detailed timelines and further updates through its official channels as the re-evaluation process gets underway.
