Bengaluru bowlers restrict Gujarat Titans: Virat Kohli’s match-winning innings

Royal Challengers Bengaluru kept their IPL title hopes intact. Along with controlled bowling by the team, King Kohli’s match-winning batting helped Bengaluru clinch the champion’s trophy by winning the final match by 5 wickets.
Coming in to bat first in the match, Gujarat Titans could not get a stable start like their previous matches. After Shubman Gill was dismissed in the very third over of the innings, the team’s batting collapse began. In the midst of this, Washington Sundar played an unbeaten innings of 50 runs, helping the team score 155 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated overs. For Bengaluru, Siraj took three wickets, while Bhuvneshwar and Hazlewood captured two wickets each. In the match, Sudharsan managed to score 12 runs, Shubman 10 runs, and Butler 11 runs.
Chasing this target, Bengaluru got off to a beautiful start, scoring 62 runs in 4.3 overs in the opening partnership with the help of Venkatesh’s 32 runs. However, after Padikkal, Patidar, and Pandya were dismissed cheaply, some tension crept into the match. Nevertheless, Kohli delivered a spectacular innings of 75 runs, crossing the winning target in 18 overs at the expense of 5 wickets.
