Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea Limited, on Thursday announced a strategic partnership with Cisco to strengthen its Hybrid SD-WAN portfolio and help enterprises modernise their network infrastructure amid growing cloud adoption and distributed operations.
The partnership combines Cisco Meraki’s secure multi-WAN capabilities with Vi Business’ managed connectivity services to provide enterprises with secure, agile and scalable networks. Vi Business launched its Hybrid SD-WAN solution in 2023, integrating SD-WAN, security and multi-cloud capabilities with diverse connectivity options, including leased lines, broadband and cellular networks.
Powered by Cisco Meraki, the solution offers a single dashboard for managing SD-WAN, application and performance-aware routing, security, Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. Vi Business said its nationwide network, proactive monitoring and lifecycle management will provide enterprises with a single point of contact and unified service experience.
The company said the service-based model also removes the need for upfront capital investments and allows businesses to scale their networks as requirements evolve. Industry estimates suggest India’s SD-WAN market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 20.5% to USD 14.6 billion by 2031.
M P Sunil Kumar, Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Vodafone Idea Limited, said the collaboration will help enterprises centrally manage distributed networks while simplifying operations.
Ashok Shivashankar, Managing Director, Partner Organization, Cisco India & South Asia, said the partnership would support network modernisation, scalability and operational efficiency in an increasingly AI-driven business environment.
