Siemens Limited has launched the 14th edition of its Siemens Scholarship Program and invited applications from meritorious first-year engineering students from government engineering colleges across India. The initiative provides financial assistance to deserving students who lack adequate economic resources and supports them throughout the four years of their engineering graduation.
Based on the German Dual Education model, the programme combines academic learning with industry exposure to help students develop into industry-ready technicians and engineers and build careers in engineering, research and development or manufacturing. The programme also focuses on holistic development, while 50% of the scholarships are reserved for girls to promote equal opportunity in technical education.
As of 2026, more than 2,300 students from 176 government engineering colleges across 28 states have participated in the Siemens Scholarship Program.
In Shillong, the programme could provide an opportunity for eligible students from government engineering institutions in Meghalaya to access financial support and industry-oriented development, particularly those from economically weaker families seeking technical education and career opportunities.
Students aged up to 20 years pursuing Mechanical/Production, Electrical, Electronics/Instrumentation, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Computer/Information Technology courses can apply. Applicants require at least 60% in SSC, 50% aggregate in HSC or equivalent and 60% in PCM, with annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2 lakh.
