SheHub hosts Northeast’s first-ever women-only DJ Run, “Miles & Music,” in Shillong

SheHub made history with the launch of Miles & Music, the Northeast’s
first-ever women-only DJ Run,on 4th July 2026 at Shillong Club.

The unique
event brought together fitness, music, community, and women’s empowerment in
an experience designed exclusively for women.

Unlike a traditional marathon, Miles & Music combined a 4-km community run
with live DJ music, wellness activities, networking opportunities, and health
awareness initiatives, creating a safe and vibrant space for women to connect and celebrate movement.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including: Smt. Lily Nongkhlaw
Ms. Saloni Verma, IAS
Ms. Naphi Marwein
Mrs. Pushpa Bajaj, Founder, Shubham Charitable Trust
Smt. Hasina Kurbah.

A key highlight of the event is SheHub’s collaboration with the Meghalaya AIDS
Control Society (MACS), which provided free voluntary HIV testing and
awareness services at the venue.

The initiative aimsled to encourage informed
health choices, promote early testing, reduce stigma surrounding HIV, and foster
greater public awareness.

Participants also enjoyed finisher medals, complimentary breakfast, curated gifts and vouchers from event partners, an aesthetic photo booth, ribbon-tying and face art stations, and opportunities to build meaningful connections with
women from across Meghalaya.

Speaking about the initiative, Mansha Sharma, founder of SheHub, said:
“Miles & Music is more than just a run. It is a celebration of women, community,
and courage. We wanted to create an experience where women could move freely, connect meaningfully, and also take a step towards better health through
awareness. We hope this event inspires many more women-led initiatives across the Northeast.”

With registrations receiving an overwhelming response, Miles & Music brought together nearly 200 women participants, making it one of the
region’s largest women-focused community fitness events.

SheHub hopes this inaugural edition will establish a new tradition of promoting
wellness, inclusivity, and community engagement, while positioning Shillong as a destination for innovative women-centric events.
