The Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men’s National Football Championship 2025 ended abruptly for Meghalaya on May 25 as they were defeated 4-0 by Mizoram in the second semifinal in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh. Meghalaya had not played in almost two weeks, despite the fact that both teams had won all of their prior games. In the 2025 edition, they defeated Karnataka 1-0 in the quarterfinals after defeating Rajasthan 4-0, Kerala 2-1, and Bihar 7-0 in the group stage.
