The two-day Block Level Chief Minister’s Youth Engagement Programme (CM-YEP) 2026 for Wapung Block concluded on September 11 at Dkhiah West Community Hall in East Jaintia Hills, with students and youth participating in a range of cultural, literary, sporting and creative competitions.
Organised by the District Sports Officer, East Jaintia Hills, in collaboration with the Block Development Officer, Wapung C&RD Block, under the theme “Young Meghalaya, Shaping Tomorrow,” the programme aimed to provide young people with a platform to showcase their talents while encouraging creativity, teamwork and leadership.
District Sports Officer S.M. Rapsang attended the concluding programme in the presence of Dkhiah West headman G. Swer, teachers, students and community members. Winners and runners-up were felicitated and awarded cash prizes.
