Assam to get the first 'Tata semiconductor assembly and test facility' in the state. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in the presence of Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran will perform Bhumi Pujan at Assam's Morigaon district on Saturday. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of semiconductor plant on March 13. The Assam CM through his social media handle shared, "Look forward to be in Jagiroad shortly and initialise work on the semiconductor facility by performing the Bhumi Pujan of the plant. Charaideo Maidam, the mound-burial system of the Ahom dynasty which is in Sivasagar, Assam was recently included in UNESCO World Heritage list. Opposition Congress leader Assam PCC president Bhupen Kumar Borah has applauded Assam's achievement.
