The High Court of Meghalaya on Tuesday disposed of a Public Interest Litigation in the matter of enforcing stringent provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The PIL was filed by Romilton Pahsyntiew. After hearing learned counsel for the parties, the Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Indra Prasanna Mukerji and Justice Wanlura Diengdoh said that they are satisfied that the Court’s order dated 16th December, 2024 has been complied with to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
