Minor earthquake jolts West Jaintia Hills

The tremor occurred at 12:28 a.m. on October 18, according to the National Center for Seismology. The quake's epicentre was pinpointed at 25.47 degrees North latitude and 92.11 degrees East longitude, with a shallow depth of 5 kilometers, which likely contributed to the shaking experienced by locals. While no immediate reports of damage or injuries have been received, local authorities are assessing the situation.
