A part of Taiwan in East Asia shook on Wednesday morning. According to local sources, the magnitude of the earthquake was 7.4 on the Richter scale. As a result of strong tremors, several multi-story buildings have been tilted in one direction, according to the administration. One person has died so far, according to local fire department sources. The number of injured is 50. A tsunami warning has been issued by Japan.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), Taiwan's capital, Taipei, and its surrounding areas were shaken around 8 a.m. local time on Wednesday. According to the USGS, the source of the earthquake was 18 kilometers from Hualien City in southern Taiwan, at a depth of 34.8 kilometers underground.
