CSB Bank Q1 profit gain 5% to Rs 119 crore

New Delhi: CSB Bank on Wednesday reported a marginal 5 per cent rise in June quarter net profit to Rs 119 crore. The private sector bank had posted a profit of Rs 113 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Total income rose to Rs 1,286 crore from Rs 1,004 crore a year ago. Interest income rose to Rs 1,041 crore from Rs 832 crore, CSB Bank said in a regulatory filing. However, the bank's asset quality deteriorated as gross non-performing assets (NPAs) rose to 1.84 percent of gross advances as of June 30, 2025, from 1.69 percent a year ago. Net NPAs remained stable at 0.66 per cent. As a result, provisions and contingencies increased to Rs 61 crore from Rs 20 crore set for the same quarter a year ago. New Delhi, Silver prices rose by Rs 423 to Rs 1,13,719 per kg in futures trade on Tuesday as participants increased their deals. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of silver contracts for September delivery rose by Rs 423, or 0.37 percent, to Rs 1,13,719 per kg in a business turnover of 15,593 lots. Analysts said fresh deals by participants led to the rise in silver prices. However, silver was trading 0.83 percent higher at $37.92 per ounce in New York.

New Delhi, Realty company Groovy India Limited reported a net profit of Rs 1.1 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year. The Delhi-based company, listed on the stock exchanges, had a net loss of Rs 25 lakh in the same quarter last year. Groovy said in a statement on Monday that total revenue in the April-June quarter of this financial year increased to Rs 8.3 crore from Rs 1.3 crore in the same period last year. Shares of state-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on Thursday, August 7, fell nearly 7% as the company's June quarter net loss widened due to higher expenses. BHEL on Wednesday reported that its consolidated net loss widened to ₹455.50 crore in the June quarter of FY2025-26 from a net loss of ₹211.40 crore in Q1 FY2025. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of zinc contract for August delivery rose by 15 paise, or 0.06 percent, to Rs 265.20 per kg in a business turnover of 3,118 lots.
