To ensure transparency and fairness in public recruitment in Assam government examinations, Assam government has decided to introduced Public Examination Act in the state. About the newly implementated act, the act prohibits malpractice with penalties of up to 10 years imprisonment and fines up to ₹10 crore, and examinees found guilty may also be barred from future examinations. Amid online trading scam in Assam, Cops arrested many accused involved in the crime. Prime accused of the crime Sumi Borah and Tarkik Borah were under police radar since the news came into light.
