Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Invited as Chief Guest for Behdieñkhlam Festival Finale on July 9

The Behdieñkhlam festival will take place in Jowai from July 6 to 9.

This was announced by Seinraij Jowai president Hercules Toi while addressing the media at the Seiñraij Dorbar Hall in Jowai in Thursday.

Speaking at the conference, Dolloi Puramon Kynjing reflected on the success of last year’s Behdieñkhlam and extended his congratulations to all participants of the Chaad Niam Behdieñkhlam.

He urged the community to continue their support to ensure the smooth execution of this significant celebration by the Niamtre community.

He noted that roads, streets, markets, and parking areas will be closed during the festival and expressed hope for divine blessings upon the community throughout the four-day, three-night event.

He also encouraged attendees to minimize vehicle use at the festival venues to facilitate the celebration of Chaad Niam Behdieñkhlam.

He expressed optimism that this year’s Behdieñkhlam will bring blessings to all communities, fostering peace and harmony across religious and ethnic lines, alleviating illnesses, and promoting environmental protection.

Arwotki Sumer, the general secretary of the Seiñraij, informed that preparations for Behdieñkhlam are underway and commended the efforts of government departments in supporting the festival.

He announced that the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has been invited to attend the culmination day on July 9 as the chief guest.

Wyraiki Kharbuki, assistant secretary of the Seiñraij, stated that strict traffic arrangements have been coordinated with the police department, particularly for July 9, to ensure smooth proceedings during the festival.
