Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has welcomed the government’s latest budget, praising its well-rounded approach to economic development and sustainability. Mr. Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Governance at TKM, highlighted the budget’s balance between infrastructure investment, social welfare, and environmental goals.
Gulati commended the budget’s focus on maintaining fiscal discipline with a fiscal deficit target of 4.9%, while prioritizing infrastructure and social sector enhancements. He noted the government’s commitment to improving agricultural productivity and increasing women’s workforce participation as key drivers for broader economic benefits.Special attention to the MSME and manufacturing sectors was also well-received, with Gulati anticipating that these measures will significantly boost their contribution to the national GDP. He applauded the budget’s initiatives for energy transition and climate action, aligning with TKM’s sustainability objectives, including a target of carbon neutrality by 2050.
Additionally, Gulati praised the new CSR-funded internship scheme aimed at enhancing job prospects for young professionals. “This budget not only fosters economic growth but also supports our commitment to sustainable and inclusive development,” Gulati said. “We look forward to the reforms and remain dedicated to ‘Grow in India, Grow with India’ and the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat.’”
