South West Garo Hills celebrated International Women’s Day
Meghalaya's South West Garo Hills district celebrated International Women's Day with a full program centered on women's empowerment and gender equality. The event, which took place at the Multi-Facility Centre in Ampati, united community people, medical professionals, and local politicians under the subject "Accelerate Action – Moving Towards Gender Equality." The Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner Hema Nayak, IAS, emphasized the region's women's development as well as ongoing struggles.
