The Meghalaya Cricket Association has acquired property in West Jaintia Hills for a new stadium

The Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has finalised plans to establish a new cricket ground in Mukhla, West Jaintia Hills District. Mukhla Dorbar Pyllun, the West Jaintia Hills District Cricket Association (WJHDCA), and MCA inked a tripartite leasing deal for a 5.93-acre plot of land on January 4. This move is in line with MCA's initiatives to promote indigenous talent and increase cricket infrastructure throughout Meghalaya's districts, especially in rural regions. With the assistance of Mukhla Dorbar Pyllun and local MLA Wailad Shylla, a fervent supporter of cricket in the area, WJHDCA was able to accomplish the property acquisition.
