Racers set Tura ablaze as Bilgaro–X 2025 concludes; Ronan Bazely and Ryan Sangma steal the show

The town of Tura in Meghalaya roared with excitement as the 10th edition of Bilgaro–X, the region’s premier four-wheel stage rally and autocross competition, wrapped up its 2025 edition at Green Haven, Walbakgre. Organised by the Tura Motor Sports Club (TMSC), the three-day event from November 20 to 22 brought together some of the finest rally drivers from across the Northeast, making it one of the most gripping motorsport spectacles the region has witnessed. This year’s edition was extra special as it also hosted the North East Championship Finals 2024–25, adding prestige and intense competition to the already high-voltage event. The Prize Distribution Ceremony drew a distinguished gathering, with Mahendraganj MLA and Chief Advisor to the Excise Department, Sanjay A. Sangma, attending as Chief Guest. In his remarks, he praised the tremendous growth of Bilgaro–X over the past decade and applauded TMSC for its consistent efforts in promoting motorsport culture among the youth.

Rakesh Sangma, MDC of Babelapara, attended as Guest of Honour and congratulated the organisers and participants. He noted that Bilgaro–X has steadily risen in reputation, becoming an important platform for young motorsport talents in the region. Earlier, TMSC President Grahambell A. Sangma delivered the welcome address, acknowledging the support of drivers, technical teams, sponsors, volunteers, and motorsport fans. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Joint Secretary Rocky Sangma, who encouraged continued collaboration for future editions. The competition saw spectacular performances across Car, SUV, and Rookie divisions:

* 2nd: Issac William Momin

* 3rd: Kamlesh Das

Rookie Class

* 2nd: Grover A. Sangma

* 3rd: Attamra A. Sangma

The rally also marked the final showdown of the North East Championship 2024–25, where Kamalesh Das clinched the overall championship in both the Car and SUV categories, amassing 123 and 135 points respectively—an achievement earned through consistency and precision throughout the racing season.
