Earlier, while congratulating Pfoze, Sangma described him as the right person to lead the party during a crucial phase. He cited Pfoze’s experience as a parliamentarian, his calm demeanour and his dedication to public service. Notably, the NPP is loooking to strengthen its organisation in Manipur ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, with Pfoze expected to play a key role.
