Meghalaya youth showcased talent at KUDO,16 athletes selected for the National Tournament in Surat

The young karate practitioners of Meghalaya are poised to demonstrate their abilities at the 31st State Level Inter School Karate Tournament 2025, which is being organized by the All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association. This three-day event, scheduled from July 24 to 26, will host more than 700 participants representing 101 schools. The state team has gained national recognition, having secured 109 medals at the National Shoto Cup Karate Championship 2023, 22 medals at the SEIKOKAI All India Karate Championship, 32 medals at the All India Independence Karate Championship, and 12 medals at the Federation Cup Premier League & Youth League Championship held in New Delhi. In the previous year, St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School triumphed in the boys’ category, while Sacred Heart Girls Higher Secondary School claimed the girls’ title.
