Meghalaya Facing ‘Slight Shortage’ Of Domestic LPG Supply: Conrad

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, while addressing the media after a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, stated that Meghalaya is still experiencing a slight shortage in domestic LPG supply, but the situation remains manageable.
However, Sangma pointed out that the shortage of commercial LPG is being faced across the entire country.
The Chief Minister further mentioned that the government has increased the supply allocation to 70 percent from the earlier levels across the state, although the actual impact of this increase is yet to be fully realized.
He expressed hope that the supply situation will improve in the coming days.
The Chief Minister also noted that the Government of India is taking steps to address and minimise the impact of the supply situation.
Regarding the bottling plant in the state, Sangma informed that the current government has already taken a decision, allotted land, and initiated work on the project.
He added that such projects take time, but expressed optimism that it will be completed soon.
