Meghalaya CM emphasizes cooperative reforms to improve the state’s educational system

Speaking at the Tura Education Conclave, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma reiterated the government’s dedication to revolutionary educational reforms. The Chief Minister highlighted in his speech the importance of education in determining the future of Meghalaya’s youth, characterizing the state’s youthful populace as both “an opportunity and a challenge.” He underlined that “the government is keen to work in collaboration with the community” and called for closer cooperation with community-based organizations.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the administration and the Mothers’ Union Tura for the administration of 20 Government LP Schools was also signed during the conclave. This effort highlights the administration’s emphasis on forming partnerships at the grassroots level to improve the educational system. In order to improve educational standards and learning outcomes, two important initiatives were introduced during the event: the CM IMPACT Meghalaya Learning Enhancement Programme (M-LEP) and the Meghalaya School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (MSQAAF).
