More than fifty people are said to have been impacted by a food poisoning event that occurred in the Sarupathar sub-district of Assam. Following their consumption of prasad and food during a recent religious event, more than fifty Barpathar locals were unwell. Food poisoning symptoms, including severe stomach pain, vomiting, fever, and headaches, began to affect the event guests on Saturday night. Those with worsening health conditions sought prompt care at local medical facilities, such as the Sarupathar Community Health Centre and the Barpathar Health Centre, in light of the growing number of patients.
At Sarupathar Health Center, 18 afflicted people—four of them are children—are presently receiving medical attention. All patients are stable and safe, according to health experts. In Bachapathar hamlet, a makeshift medical camp has also been established to offer extra help and guarantee that individuals affected by the incident receive ongoing care and support until they fully recover.
