
ManipalCigna Health Insurance has announced the expansion of its Northeast operations, reinforcing its commitment to improving access to quality healthcare through its flagship product, ManipalCigna Sarvah, recognised as Product of the Year 2025 – Health Insurance in a NielsenIQ consumer survey. The company said the product continues to drive strong national retail growth while addressing diverse customer needs, ranging from essential health coverage to comprehensive plans with innovative benefits such as zero waiting period options.
As part of its regional growth strategy, ManipalCigna has scaled up to eight operational branches across key Northeast cities and plans to onboard around 10,000 advisors over the next three years, including a targeted initiative to empower 3,000 women advisors. The insurer has also partnered with football icon Bhaichung Bhutia to strengthen local engagement and promote awareness on health, wellness, and financial protection.
The Sarvah portfolio includes three variants — Sarvah Uttam, offering personalised comprehensive coverage with the Anant infinite coverage option; Sarvah Param, providing Day-1 coverage with zero waiting period and unlimited sum assured; and Sarvah Pratham, an affordable entry-level plan designed for first-time buyers and the “missing middle”.
In Shillong, the company expects increasing demand for structured health insurance solutions as awareness grows among urban households and service-sector professionals, with the expanding advisor network likely to improve accessibility and customer outreach across Meghalaya’s commercial hub.
