The event, one of the festival’s most anticipated attractions, celebrated emerging local talent while promoting culture, confidence and community spirit among the state’s youth.

In a closely contested competition, Catherine Defini Diengdoh and Na-i-Staphi Nola Lyngdoh secured the 1st and 2nd Runners-up positions in the Miss category. On the men’s side, Joel Desmond Nongrum and Abiezer Dan claimed the runner-up titles, drawing praise for their poise and stage presence. Organised by the Miss Meghalaya Organisation, the pageant added glamour and excitement to the broader festival celebrations. Participants showcased not just fashion and personality but also a deep pride in Meghalaya’s cultural identity — a theme that resonated strongly throughout the evening.

The judging panel brought together some of the region’s most respected pageant and fashion personalities. Among them were Shyamanga Kashyap, director of Miss Assam and talent scout for Miss India; Akumnaro Imsong, former Miss Nagaland and co-director of Miss Assam; Aakriti Shen, former Miss Meghalaya and Miss Shillong; and Deibormi Lyngdoh, former model and winner of Mr Fresh Face Meghalaya and Shillong Prince.
