Jowai students to meet President of India as part of exposure trip

Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs, Wailadmiki Shylla, interacted with 17 selected Outstanding Students and Star Performers ahead of their exposure trip to Delhi to meet the President of India and attend the Winter Session of Parliament, 2025. The interaction took place at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Jowai, with Deputy Commissioner Abhinav Kumar Singh, Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar) Jowai Vevotolu Kezo, and Assistant Commissioner F. Passah also present.

Shylla commended the Deputy Commissioner, SDO, and teachers for making the programme possible and encouraged students to actively participate, ask questions, and use the opportunity to build confidence and broaden their perspectives.

The trip will include interactions with the President, a tour of Rashtrapati Bhavan and its museum, witnessing a live parliamentary session, and visiting Nehru Planetarium. Time permitting, the students may also visit other museums and archaeological sites in Delhi.
