IDAN and Medanta Hospital Gurgaon Collaborate to Improve Healthcare in Nagaland

Consumers in Nagaland now have a new tool to take charge of their health. Medanta – The Medicity, Gurgaon, in partnership with the Government of Nagaland and the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), has launched “A Guide to Better Health,” a booklet designed to help people recognize early symptoms, adopt healthier routines, and make better choices for long-term well-being.

The initiative was envisioned by Nagaland Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer and supported by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio officially unveiled the booklet, which has been distributed among 60 MLAs and over 150 senior officials. Digital copies are set to reach the wider public. “This booklet underscores our priority for the health and well-being of citizens,” said Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister and Chair of IDAN.

The launch is timely. With busy trading hubs and growing consumer demand for wellness products, the city is seeing greater awareness of lifestyle-related health issues. Practical guides like this can influence consumer habits, boost demand for preventive health services, and encourage healthier choices among local businesses and families alike. The launch follows Medanta’s MoU under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme and a multi-speciality medical camp in Kohima that benefitted over 400 people.
