
The Dorbar Shnong Nongjrong has decided to close Nongjrong Viewpoint and other tourist spots in the Nongirong every Sunday starting from January 2026. In a notification, the Dorbar Shnong saud that entry of visitors into the village will be restricted from Saturday night until the end of Sunday and all homestays will also remain closed on that day. The Dorbar Shnong has apologised for any inconvenience that thus order may cause to the travel plans of tourists as the decision has been taken collectively by the community. To ensure smooth arrangements for everyone, all visitors who wish to stay in Nongjrong are required to pre-book their accommodation. This helps maintain order and convenience for both guests and residents. Bookings can be checked through the Google Maps listings of the registered homestays.
