Heavy rains in Meghalaya claim two lives, affect thousands

The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) reported that heavy rains between June 10 to 17 resulted in the deaths of two individuals and impacted numerous villages across Meghalaya. The deceased were identified as Probino Warbah, 48, from Tynring village in East Khasi Hills district, and Kantly Maram, 49, from Nongkroh Rambrai in West Khasi Hills district.
