2nd MLA Cup Football Tournament kicks off with exciting opener

The second edition of the highly anticipated MLA Cup football tournament began on September 5 at Boldamgre Playground, Mahendraganj. A total of 31 teams from across the constituency are competing in this thrilling inter-locality event, organised by the Rangdokram Socio-Cultural Club. Mahendraganj MLA Sanjay A Sangma and Bajengdoba MLA Pongseng R Marak graced the opening ceremony, officially launching the competition that promises to bring local communities together through sport. The opening match saw Domapara FC and Garagre FC in a fierce contest that ended 1-1 in regular time. In a dramatic penalty shootout, Domapara FC emerged victorious with a 4-3 win, setting the tone for the exciting games ahead.
