Zinc futures reduce on weak demand

New Delhi, June 20: Zinc prices fell 0.34 percent to Rs 252.85 per kg in futures trade on Friday as speculators cut their positions following negative cues from the spot market. Zinc contracts for July delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange fell 85 paise, or 0.34 percent, to Rs 252.85 per kg in a business turnover of 2,163 lots. Analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market mainly put pressure on zinc prices.

New Delhi, June 19: Aluminium prices fell by 35 paise to Rs 247 per kg in futures trade on Thursday as participants cut their positions following a weak trend in the spot market. Aluminium contracts for July delivery fell by 35 paise, or 0.14 percent, to Rs 247 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange in a business of 2,471 lots. Analysts said aluminium prices fell mainly due to participants cutting their positions due to sluggish demand from consumer industries.

Guarseed futures prices upsurge on spot demand

New Delhi, June 18: Guarseed prices rose by Rs 26 to Rs 5,083 per quintal in futures trade on Tuesday as speculators increased the size of their deals amid a strong trend in the spot market. Guarseed contract for July delivery rose by Rs 26, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 5,083 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, with open interest trading in 51,990 lots. According to market sources, guarseed prices rose mainly due to speculators increasing their deals, strong trend in the spot market and lower supplies from producing regions.

New Delhi, June 17: Silver prices rose by Rs 306 to Rs 1,06,870 per kg in futures trade on Tuesday as participants increased their bets. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery rose by Rs 306, or 0.29 percent, to Rs 1,06,870 per kg in a business turnover of 16,885 lots. Analysts said fresh deals by participants led to a jump in silver prices. Globally, silver was trading 0.33 percent higher at $36.43 per ounce in New York.

New Delhi, June 16: Coriander prices rose by Rs 4 to Rs 7,034 per quintal in futures trade on Monday as speculators increased their positions in view of a firm trend in the spot market. Coriander contracts for July delivery on the NCDEX rose by Rs 4, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 7,034 per quintal with a turnover of 16,460 lots. Market analysts said coriander prices rose due to a firm trend in the spot market and limited supplies from producing regions.

New Delhi, June 12: Silver prices rose by Rs 715 to Rs 1,06,107 per kg in futures trade on Thursday as participants increased their bets. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery rose by Rs 715, or 0.68 percent, to Rs 1,06,107 per kg in a business turnover of 19,263 lots. Analysts said fresh deals by participants led to a jump in silver prices. Globally, silver was trading 0.16 percent higher at $36.31 per ounce in New York.

New Delhi, June 11: Aluminium prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 1.85 to Rs 243.05 per kg in futures trade as speculators created fresh deals amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium contracts for July delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 1.85, or 0.77 per cent, to Rs 243.05 per kg in a business turnover of 968 lots. Analysts said fresh deals by traders amid demand from consumer industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
