IRB Infra’s toll revenue jump nearly 9% to Rs 581 crore in May; stock jumps 3%

IRB Infrastructure on Monday reported a year-on-year growth of nearly 9% in its toll revenue to ₹581 crore in May 2025. Revenue from toll collection business stood at ₹536 crore in the same month last year, IRB said in an exchange filing. Of its 17 tolls, IRB MP Expressway in Maharashtra contributed the major share of ₹159.5 crore to the total revenue collection in April, up from a contribution of ₹152.6 crore in May 2024.  With ₹73 crore, IRB Golconda Expressway (Hyderabad ORR) was the second-largest contributor to revenue in May 2025, up from ₹62.7 crore last year. Silver futures prices gain: Prices rise by Rs 65

New Delhi, June 9 Silver prices rose by Rs 65 to Rs 1,05,524 per kg in futures trade on Monday as participants increased their bets.On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of silver contracts for July delivery rose by Rs 65, or 0.06 percent, to Rs 1,05,524 per kg in a business turnover of 21,115 lots.Analysts said fresh deals by participants led to the rise in silver prices. Globally, silver was trading 0.21 percent higher at $36.05 per ounce in New York.

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows into India rose to 112 countries from 89

New Delhi, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said India is receiving FDI from 112 countries, as against 89 in 2013-14. This shows the increase in the country's global appeal. Speaking virtually at the FDI roundtable here, he said the government is committed to making India the world's most preferred investment destination. New Delhi, June 6 Gold prices fell by Rs 238 to Rs 98,341 per 10 gram in futures trade on Thursday amid weak spot demand. Gold contracts for August delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange fell by Rs 238, or 0.24 percent, to Rs 98,341 per 10 gram in a business turnover of 17,188 lots. Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues. In international markets, gold futures in New York fell 0.14 percent to $3,368.15 an ounce.

New Delhi, June 4 Aluminium prices rose by Rs 2.05 to Rs 242.55 per kg in the futures market on Wednesday as speculators created fresh deals amid a positive trend in the spot market. The price of aluminium contract for July delivery rose by Rs 2.05, or 0.85 per cent, to Rs 242.55 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange in a business turnover of 415 lots. Analysts said fresh bets by traders amid demand from consumer industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.

New Delhi, June 3: Zinc prices on Monday rose by Rs 1.40 to Rs 252.40 per kg in futures trade amid strong spot demand. The price of zinc contract for June delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 1.40, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 252.40 per kg in a business turnover of 3,545 lots. Zinc prices rose in futures trade as participants increased the size of their deals following a pick-up in demand from consumer industries, market sources said.

Sun TV Q4 results: Consolidated net profit drops over 10% y-o-y, margins shrink

Sun TV Q4: Sun TV Network reported a 10.4% y-o-y decline in its consolidated net profit to ₹371.6 crore in the March FY25 quarter. The company had posted a profit of ₹414.7 crore in the same period last year. In the quarter under review, the media company's revenue from operations stood at ₹940.6 crore, down 2.2% from ₹961.3 crore in Q4 FY24. Sun TV's operating efficiency declined as its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) fell 18% from ₹429 crore in Q4 FY25. In Q4FY24, its EBITDA was ₹523 crore. Crude oil futures jump due to spot demand

New Delhi, Crude oil prices rose by Rs 57 to Rs 5,248 per barrel in futures trade on Wednesday as participants increased the size of their deals due to strong spot demand. Crude oil contracts for June delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange traded higher by Rs 57, or 1.1 percent, at Rs 5,248 per barrel, with a turnover of 11,966 lots. Analysts said crude oil prices rose in futures trade as participants increased their bets. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude prices rose 0.21 percent to $61.10 per barrel, while Brent crude prices rose 0.31 percent to $64.29 per barrel.
