Meghalaya CM announces final disbursement of Rs 85 crore scholarship fund for ST students

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Friday announced the release of the final installment of ₹85.08 crore under the Post Matric Scholarship scheme for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students. The amount will be credited to students' accounts within 1-2 days. The disbursement, part of the "Umbrella Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students," will benefit 27,327 students for the 2023-24 academic session. This marks the completion of the phased scholarship distribution that began last June.
