A police officer, working at the DGP office, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the online trading scam, as per sources. Suruj Deka is the police officer that was arrested. Anjan Supriyam, the main suspect in the case, admitted to taking part in the online trading scam, which led to Deka's arrest. Deka is now being questioned by CID officials. To learn more about the scheme and Deka's role in it, more inquiries are underway. The movement of heavy vehicles has been temporarily suspended by the Assam police on NH-27 between Jatinga and Harangajao in Assam's Dima Hasao district. Until further orders, vehicles heading to and from Barak Valley are instructed to take the detour via Meghalaya (National Highway-6). According to a press release from the police, because to regular rainfall, soil subsidence, and current construction, large vehicles with 12 wheels or more and long trucks and trailers more than 24 feet are prohibited from operating.
