The Budget Session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly is scheduled from February 16 to 27, 2026. Following a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee, Speaker Thomas A. On voting days for supplementary demands, the Assembly will sit until 3 PM, with extensions possible. Speaker Sangma dismissed rumors of a postponement, affirming that the session will occur as scheduled and noting that the timing was influenced by the upcoming Garo Hills Autonomous District Council polls.
