A Plus Charge and Ather Energy join forces to electrify Northeast India’s EV landscape

A Plus Charge has announced a strategic partnership with electric two-wheeler major Ather Energy. The collaboration will focus on deploying advanced fast-charging infrastructure across major urban centres and transit corridors, aiming to meet the rising demand for EV adoption in the region.

The chargers, powered by A Plus Charge, will support all Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS)-compatible Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs). The rollout will begin with Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Shillong, and Siliguri, and later expand to Jorhat, Dimapur, Agartala, and other high-growth potential cities.

The growing demand for sustainable transport among last-mile operators, delivery services, and urban commuters has made it a strategic location for EV infrastructure investment. Analysts expect this move to stimulate local EV sales and catalyze a more robust ecosystem. “This partnership marks a key milestone in the Northeast’s green transition,” said Samyak Jain, Founder & Director of A Plus Charge, reinforcing the firm’s ambition to lead as a full-stack Charge Point Operator in the region.
