925 students are given digital learning tablets in South West Garo Hills

Under the Chief Minister’s Students Digital Learning Aid (M-TAB) project, 925 Class XI students from 13 South West Garo Hills schools received learning tablets as part of a significant push for digital education. Mahendraganj MLA Sanjay Sangma was the chief guest at the distribution event, which was held on Thursday at the DRDA Hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Ampati. The program, which is being organized by the Education Department and the District Administration, intends to boost academic performance throughout Meghalaya and augment digital learning.

Deputy Commissioner Hema Nayak, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Block Development Officers, and school principals were among the officials in attendance. MLA Sanjay Sangma emphasized the expanding significance of technology in education during his remarks at the ceremony. He underlined the significance of appropriate internet usage and the government’s commitment to incorporating e-learning into the curriculum. He warned kids about potential diversions even as he acknowledged the benefits of digital technology.

Citing recent measures like the distribution of CM Impact booklets and the opportunity for students to take the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) test twice a year, Deputy Commissioner Hema Nayak praised the state’s continuous efforts to improve education. She said that by taking these steps, pupils won’t miss an entire school year because they failed a test. The region’s difficulties with SSLC and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) results were recognized by District School Education Officer (SEO) Tapos Marak. In order to enhance their academic performance, he advised pupils to make effective use of digital learning resources.
