CM Sangma declares the opening of a four-star hotel in Shillong
The building of a four-star hotel at Polo Ground is the first step in the Meghalaya government's ambitious urban regeneration initiative to significantly revitalize Shillong. This program was unveiled by Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, who emphasized the state government's dedication to improving the city's appearance and infrastructure. The Chief Minister on Friday unveiled Shillong's renovated and refurbished IGP Point as part of this larger agenda. Launched in March 2024, the Re-Imagining Streets Initiative includes the point's reconstruction.
