NLC India’s fourth quarter profit increase to Rs 468.46 crore

New Delhi, May 20, NLC India Limited on Monday reported that its consolidated profit for the quarter ended March 2025 rose four-fold to Rs 468.46 crore.The company had reported a consolidated profit of Rs 113.95 crore in the same quarter a year ago.NLC India Limited said in a notice to BSE that the consolidated income of the company in the January-March quarter declined to Rs 3,971.90 crore from Rs 4,034.53 crore in the same quarter a year ago.The company said in a statement that in addition to the interim dividend of 15 percent (Rs 1.5 per share) on the paid-up equity share capital already declared and paid, a final dividend of 15 percent for 2024-25 has been recommended, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting.NLC is a public sector company engaged in l...

New Delhi, May 19 Aluminium prices on Monday rose marginally by Rs 1.25 to Rs 239.10 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June increased Rs 1.25 or 0.52 percent to Rs 239.10 per kg in 2,154 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.

Petrol sales upsurge 10% in May: Summer travel drives demand

New Delhi, May 16: Petrol consumption rose nearly 10 percent in the first fortnight of May, as summer travel boosted fuel demand, according to provisional sales data from state-owned fuel retailers.Petrol consumption rose to 1.5 million tonnes during May 1-15, as against 1.37 million tonnes sold a year ago. Its demand was 10.5 percent higher than the 1.36 million tonnes consumed during May 1-15, 2023, and nearly 46 percent higher than the Covid-hit first fortnight of May 2021. Diesel sales rose 2 percent to 3.36 million tonnes, data from three state-owned fuel retailers that control nearly 90 percent of the fuel market showed. Silver futures upsurge on demand

New Delhi, May 16: Silver prices rose marginally by Rs 15 to Rs 96,520 per kg in futures trade on Friday as participants increased their bets. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of silver contracts for July delivery rose marginally by Rs 15, or 0.02 percent, to Rs 96,520 per kg in a business turnover of 20,481 lots. Analysts said fresh deals by participants led to the rise in silver prices. Globally, silver was trading 0.61 percent lower at $32.44 per ounce in New York.

New Delhi, May 15: Passenger vehicle deliveries from factories to company dealerships in the country witnessed a 4 percent rise in April to 3,48,847 units, industry body SIAM said on Thursday.The dispatch stood at 3,35,629 units in April last year.However, total two-wheeler deliveries declined 17 percent year-on-year to 14,58,784 units in April, SIAM said in a statement.Wholesale sales of bikes, scooters and mopeds stood at 17,51,393 units in April 2024.

New Delhi, May 14: Guar gum prices rose marginally to Rs 9,761 per quintal in futures trade on Wednesday as speculators increased their deal size amid strong spot demand.Guar gum contracts for June delivery rose marginally by Rs 1, or 0.01 percent, to Rs 9,761 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, with open interest of 49,480 lots.Analysts said traders increased their deals in view of strong spot market trend, which led to rise in guar gum prices.
